Q: Who will I work with at your firm?

A: You are assigned the attorney of your choice or the attorney with the most experience with your type of issue. This one attorney will be responsible for providing all services to you and assuring the timeliness and quality of those services.

Q: I have a problem and call your firm, when will I hear back?

A: Almost immediately. Except for extraordinary circumstances, we attempt to return all calls the same day. If your attorney is not available and your issue requires immediate attention, another attorney in the practice area will contact you.

Q: Do I have to sign a contract with your firm?

A: No. We serve at your pleasure and may be hired or fired at any time.

Q: Will we have to pay a retainer to work with your firm?

A: No. As a general rule we do not use retainers. We charge only for the effort we expend on your matters. If we are not providing services, you don’t pay a thing.

Q: How are we billed?

A: As a general rule, we bill monthly for professional legal services. Bills are in a format which clearly specifies what was done on each matter.

Q: Will we be charged for costs such as photocopies, faxes, postage and the like?

A: No. We do not charge clients for these costs. Any significant extraordinary costs will be sent directly to you for payment.

Q: Where are you?

A: We are located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Southeast of downtown on the corner of the East Beltline and Burton Streets. Our address is:

Nantz, Litowich, Smith, Girard and Hamilton
2025 East Beltline S.E.
Suite 600
